Theme Parkology is proud to present its first installment into the Collector Series entitled, Pin Trading. The world of Pin Trading dates as far back as 1930 when the Walt Disney Studio issued its first pin to members of the Mickey Mouse Club, which was started by a young man named Harry Woodin at the Fox Dome Theater in Ocean Park.

Soon after, Disney began issuing out pins as a souvenir item, mostly of Mickey, Minnie Donald and Pluto, but with the new millennium fast approaching vice-president of Disney Licensing, Paul Pressley, had the idea to have millennium pins not only sold, but traded. It was an instant success.

Join Theme Parkology as we journey through the years of pin trading to see how a Mickey Mouse style pin turned into thousands of different character pins and learn how pin trading has become a popular hobby as well as a lucrative business.

This is a must have for any pin traders!
