A ROLLY GOOD TIME
The much awaited D23 Expo is well on its way. The expo will be at the Anaheim Stadium on August 9-11 and a list of celebrities that will be attending is starting to pour in.

The list so far include; the cast of Teen Beach Movie, Shake It Up, Jessie, Phineas and Ferb, Marvel Universe, Gravity Falls, Good Luck Charlie, A.N.T. Farm, Kickin' It, Dog With A
town and its people of which a young Walt Disney grew up.

Fast forward a year later and I had the privilege to view Andy's work and I have to say that this DVD, put out by andSara Productions, really captures a side of the Disney story that no one else has. It really take its time to hear what the people of Marceline felt during the life of Walt and you really get a sense of a family unit that was very proud of their former resident, but not because he was a successful story teller or the creator of the world's most famous mouse, but rather for his humble self.

To obtain this masterpiece DVD click onto Andy Neitzert's wedsite, http://marcelinefilm.blogspot.com/ and be sure to visit his other site and face book at;

A few years ago I met a charming young lady named Pam Burns, who is the daughter of Disney Legend, Harriet Burns. We talked about a possible interview, but our busy schedule kept it from happening. I have since contacted her again and we have finally pinpointed a day to do the interview.

Now, for those of you who are unfamiliar with the works of Harriet Burns she was a set and prop designer and worked on such fantastic projects as Sleeping Beauty Castle, Enchanted Tiki
Room,  Matterhorn Bobsleds, Submarine Voyage, The Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean, to name a few.

Pam will be talking in length about her mother's work with Disney. I plan to produce a full length documentary on Harriet Burns and will use excerpts of the interview for cameo shots regarding the Pirates of the Caribbean and Storybook Land. I am really excited about it.

But until these DVDs are ready I urge you to visit Pam's website to purchase her book, Walt Disney's First Lady of Imagineering, Harriet Burns. It's a fantastic book with an in-depth look at Harriet Burns. http://www.imagineerharriet.com/
About a year or so ago I was on a quest to find an editor assistant. I scoured the web and sent a few request of interest and one person that responded was a gentleman named, Andy Neitzert. He was interested and we chatted about a possible pairing, but he went on to tell me that he was in the process of producing his documentary on Marceline, Walt Disney's home town. It was to be an in-depth look at the
D23 EXPO UPDATE
I would like to take this space and opportunity to welcome several new writers to the Theme Parkology family; Larry W.,  Kenny Dunham, Karen Bakhtegan, Yvonne Harden and Mike Marino. These five talented writer have stepped up to the task and have sharpened their pencils to write five new scripts for our enjoyment.

So, would you like to know what they are writing?

Larry W. is penning the haunted, yet spectacular tale of Disney California's Tower of Terror, which will feature the voice of the attraction, Mark Silverman.

Kenny Dunham is scripting one of Walt Disney's favorite mode of transportation, The PeopleMover, which will feature Theme Parkology friend, Bob Gurr.

Karen Bakhtegan has the fun opportunity to script one of the Disney parks famous attraction, The Monorail, which will again have Bob Gurr describing his work on it.

Yvonne Harden will be tapping her foot as she writes the historic telling of The Country Bears, featuring Disney puppeteer, Teri Hardin

Mike Morino will be typing up Euro-Disney's Phantom Manor, which I hope will feature Haunted Mansion historian, Jeff Baham.

I would like to thank all of my writers for their valued contribution.
One of the many Disney Legends that I have been dying to interview is Rolly Crump. Rolly has worked on such fantastic animation classics as; Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, Sleeping Beauty and 101 Dalmations. In 1959 Walt Disney hand picked Rolly to wok on several Disneyland attractions such as; The Haunted Mansion, Enchanted Tiki Room and everyone's
favorite Disney ride, It's A Small World.

I am very pleased to announced that I have been given a rare and honored opportunity to interview Mr. Crump. We will be discussing his work on the It's A Small World attraction and perhaps on his valued contribution on the Haunted Mansion, particularly on the rumored Museum of the Weird.

This interview will take place withing the month of July and I have to admit I'm a bit excited. I would like to thank Marie Tocci for her assistance in making this interview possible and to Rolly Crump in accepting the invitation.
Blog, Lab Rats, Crash & Bernstein and Wander Over Yonder.

Musical Performances by Bridgit Mendler and R5 featuring Ross Lynch, plus Teen Beach Movie and Surf Crazy Fan Dance and popular characters will be there such as; Sofia the First, Doc McStuffins, Jake, and All-New Mickey Mouse Cartoon Shorts Screening.

I plan to write up an extended piece on the coming expo, but if you haven't been there before you really should plan on it. For more information click onto www.d23.com.
