FLIK'S FLYERS

October 7, 2002 – September 4, 2018

Located in the former "a bug’s land" at Disney California Adventure, Flik’s Flyers was a charming spinner attraction designed for families.

The ride immersed guests in the world of Pixar’s A Bug's Life, making them feel as small as insects. The attraction followed the story of the inventive ant, Flik, who fashioned a flying apparatus using found objects and natural materials. Riders climbed into vehicles made from repurposed human "litter".

These baskets were attached to "balloons" crafted from twigs and leaves, which rotated around a central pillar constructed from a pie tin and a whipped-topping container.

During the flight, guests enjoyed a unique perspective of giant grass stalks and clover before their gentle descent back to the ground.
